Japanese translation of rainbow feather

I finished the pictures for the Japanese Translation of Rainbow Feather today -
unfortunately I cannot put the translation into the plaintext UTF-8 encoded PHP-Files.
Update, if you have the language pack for Eastern Languages installed you can enjoy the whole beauty!

Does anyone know a walk-around for this problem?

Credits for the translation (I do not speak Japanese I must admit) go out to Yujin Takayanagi , thank you mate!

Localized buttons for Rainbow Feather (v2)

Many dutch and belgium people asked me to customize their rainbow feather installs.
Most wanted buttons in their native tongue,
so here is a start with readon.png and readon2.png.

For the other graphics (like recently, monthly archives, login etc)
I can only encourage you to do it either your own or stick to my english ones till I can free up some more time to create them.

Quick guide to wetfloor graphics as used in my Rainbow Feather (v2) theme:

Font: Georgia
Fontsize: 20pt SHARP

duplicate the layer,
press ctrl+t,
set height to -100% (flips it upside down),
select layer mask,
do gradient
save.

Rainbow Feather theme version 2

Hello everyone, since my vacations are coming to an end soon, I thought it would be a good idea to release a bugfixed version of my Rainbow Feather theme. The old version had some nasty bugs in Internet Explorer 6. Until yesterday I wasn’t really able to test it, but when traveling north to one of my mates via train I had ten hours of time to fix things up. If the themeviewer will ever be open to updates (again) I will be posting the update there too of course, but for now the bugfixed version is available on the original Rainbow Feather theme page.

Client WordPress in 10h

I have some customizations to do, but also I have some client work pending. Since this is paid I need to finish it before photoshopping Palm Trees in your Rainbow Feather theme and so on. See below screen caps if you are curious how an ugly looking 1995′s Frontpage Website can be transformed and spiced up to WordPress 2.2.2

What did I do today? – I worked for Tarcus, a small Public Relations company located nearby my hometown. Their old site needs a hard revamp, check it out at www.tarcus.com if you care (it is not that pretty and not well coded at all. I reckon it was some intern using frontpage. Compared to the first version, which I did, the current one is more like a ‘step back’ than a ‘step forward’. That is why I am doing the next version again instead of some guy without a clue).

Padding and margin might have sounded like Sitcome characters to the old website creator…

NEW layout by me (yes, I used parts of the ‘Water’ theme by the undersigned. It’s licensed under GPL, so no need to re-invent the wheel)

Accessibility: increase/decrease font-size and a live search with suggest feature

Curly corners, not as lame as the original logo

Some dictionary like typeface for the frontpage and random images for the left sidebar

Royal free images from sxc.hu and some gradient to render a nice footer

Once all my work is done and the client accepted my work I will be releasing an open-source version of this. I am sure one or two of you will find it handy.

Centershock theme

Hey guys, one of my friends has created a modification (I’d say almost a new theme) based on my Rainbow Feather WordPress theme. It is IE6, IE7, Firefox and Safari compatible (which currently the Rainbow Feather is not – IE6 speaking of). Once the themeviewer is back up, I am going to release it together with douzens of bug fixes for my other themes.

Below you will find some cut out previews.
The theme is currently localized to fit the German language, but I will take care of that before releasing it.
Also, I have found a way to truncutate the output of the “recent posts” and other titles, so that they do not break the containers and overlap the date.

Burkhard “cypher” Mudrick is a 33 years old freelance webdesigner from Germany. His hometown is LÃ¼bben, 60 km south of Berlin. He became a digital media designer in Cottbus 6 years ago and worked at Elbenwald GmbH (regards to myc). Burkhard is a typical “family guy” with one wife, one child and one dog. Rainbow Feather theme update

When browsing through my e-mail correspondence I received some good news. One Rainbow Feather user sat down and fixed the theme for Internet Explorer 6 and lower users. He also came up with a nice design modification.

In other great news, I will be releasing at least two more high-quality themes this month. I am currently working on a design for a trance radio, which will be stylish, functional and futuristic. Stay locked.
