Plot summary
During a trip to the bowling alley, in which Mort Goldman bowls a 300 game with Peter and his friends, Lois goes to the ladies’ restroom. While placing toilet paper on the seat, she repeatedly hears someone muttering “giggity.” She finally looks up to see Quagmire suspending himself from the ceiling and watching her. Lois, Loretta and Bonnie join forces to demand his eviction from the neighborhood, but Peter protests.

After another protracted fight with Ernie the Giant Chicken first seen in a lengthy flashback from the second season episode “Da Boom,” Peter convinces the women to allow him to try to reform Glenn. After intensive operant conditioning therapy (consisting of a whirling ceiling fan being placed just above his nude groin while being shown a Victoria’s Secret catalog) Glenn seems to be able to function in normal society again.

As a test, his friends take him to a local mall, where his is repeatedly tempted by provocative situations such as scantily clad lesbian cheerleaders splashing water at each other and making out and a mother breastfeeding her baby. Overwhelmed, Glenn flees only to find himself in the mall’s security control room, staring at dozens of closed-circuit television monitors from women’s dressing rooms. He sees a woman collapse and rushes to her location, saving her life and becoming a hero, even though he was just using the opportunity to take advantage of her.

Peter grows jealous of his friends’ heroic achievements (Joe’s continuous medals, Quagmire’s heroism, Mort’s 300 game, and even Cleveland’s job as a Sotheby’s auctioneer—in which he was previously a fast-talker—until a totem pole accident rendered his speech into his slow monotone) and attempts to secure his own fame by setting a world record for the most nickels eaten. Unfortunately, he soon loses his sight due to nickel poisoning. Later, the Drunken Clam catches on fire (after God accidentally strikes and vaporises a woman with lightning while flirting), trapping Horace. The oblivious Peter ties his guide dog, Brutus, to a nearby hobo (which he mistakes for a parking meter) and enters the flaming bar. After hearing Horace’s cries for help, Peter pulls him free of the debris and carries him to safety. Peter is hailed as a hero, given an award by the mayor, and regains his vision from an eye transplant (from the hobo who was strangled and dragged to death by his guide dog).

Plot summary
Meg asks Craig Hoffman on a date, but he turns her down. She looks to her family for support. In an effort to cheer her up, Lois takes Meg to the mall. At the shopping mall, two people drench themselves in gasoline and light themselves on fire and jump out of a window, upon seeing Meg. Also, Channel 5 Asian reporter Tricia Takanawa is giving away free makeovers. Meg gets the ultimate makeover and instantly becomes popular.

Meanwhile, the Drunken Clam is suffering due to a mall built across the street, so Peter and friends drag out a karaoke machine that Horace had kept in a storage room. When Peter, Cleveland, Quagmire and Joe team up to sing Journeys song Dont Stop Believin, people swarm to the bar. Thrilled with their success, the group starts a band and travel to their first gig at a prison. The band, named Fat, Horny, Black, and Joe, is about to launch into their opening number when they realize they dont know any songs, and the prisoners riot as a result. Peters family, who are attending to support him, hastily take the stage and sing Buy Me a Rainbow. They are an enormous hit, and they sign a contract with a record executive, Jimmy Iovine (who was imprisoned for stomping on a cat).

Despite the familys talent, their producer Dr. Diddy is more interested in exploiting Megs new look to make her a teen sex symbol. Megs newfound stardom goes to her head, causing resentment among the other family members; nevertheless, they travel to New York to perform on Saturday Night Live. Meg is immediately seduced by Jimmy Fallon and loses her virginity to him; she fails to realize that the entire encounter is being aired on live television, despite the fact that Fallon keeps glancing at the camera and laughing. Peter attacks Fallon on stage and beats him up, because Peter dislikes his acting. The Griffins return home, where Meg reverts to her old look, saying being beautiful is too much work. Lois replies sotto voce, Well, not for me.

Plot summary
Peter invites his friends on board his fishing boat for a party at sea. An intoxicated Brian makes an awkward pass at Meg, who is horrified. While Quagmire is fishing, he catches a fish that lands in Loretta Brown’s shirt. She invites him to reach in and grab it, which he does after a moment of hesitation. While Quagmire’s hand is between her breasts, Cleveland approaches and mentions the snacks Peter has supplied, serenely saying hello to Glenn before walking away. After the fish is finally extracted, Loretta propositions Quagmire (to his amazed confusion). During a game of charades, Joe falls overboard and nearly drowns while attempting to portray “Natalie Wood.” His life is saved by Peter’s two Portuguese employees, who rescue Joe in a fishing net, pull him aboard, and perform CPR. Because no one in the family knew what to do in an emergency, Lois insists that they take CPR classes. Peter almost instantly has his CPR card revoked for inappropriate behavior (i.e. taking off peoples’ pants to see if they soiled themselves).

While Peter ponders taking the CPR course again, he and Brian hear screams coming from Cleveland’s house. They rush in to find Loretta having sex on the couch with a white man who has a tattoo on his buttocks. Embarrassed, they leave without seeing the man’s face, although Quagmire raises his head from the sofa immediately afterwards.

They decide that the last thing in the world they should do is tell anyone about this. So after doing everything in the world in one day, they tell Lois, the Swansons and Quagmire that Loretta is having an affair. Peter volunteers to tell Cleveland, since he has experience with delivering bad news (in a barbershop-style group performing musical diagnoses for terminally ill patients). Meeting Cleveland at the Drunken Clam with Brian, Peter delivers the news in a typically overly-detailed fashion.

When Cleveland calmly questions Loretta over the affair, she angrily responds that she needs a real man. Cleveland responds in his usual mild-mannered way, even apologizing, and Loretta kicks him out of the house in disgust. The Griffins invite him to stay in their house. Lois claims Cleveland doesn’t seem affected by the fact that his wife has kicked him out of the house and cheated on him at all. Peter suggests that what Cleveland needs is a “revenge lay” and decides to ask Quagmire for advice. Quagmire is working out in revealing leopard-skin briefs when Peter and Brian arrive. They instantly recognize the tattoo on his butt and realize that Glenn was Loretta’s partner. Despite Quagmire’s pleas, Peter and Brian immediately tell Cleveland but are surprised when he shows almost no reaction.

Lois tells Cleveland that Loretta wants him to express his feelings: that women sometimes want men to be strong and stand up for them. She becomes aroused at her own motivational speech, drops her pants and asks Peter to spank her. Brian, apparently also lost in the moment, smacks her butt instead. After a moment of awkward silence, Peter tries to get his friend to feel some passion by taking him to a wrestling match, but it affects Peter much more than Cleveland. He then puts on a Quagmire mask and molests Brian (unwillingly wearing a Loretta mask). This method finally yields results; Cleveland becomes enraged and vows to kill Quagmire.

Peter realizes that he has gone too far and tries to protect Glenn by hiding him at Mayor Adam West’s mansion. West’s lunacy soon proves too much for even Quagmire, who returns home and calls Cleveland to apologize. Cleveland appears and chases Quagmire around his house wielding a baseball bat. When he finally has Glenn at his mercy cowering on the lawn, Cleveland realizes that he is unable to hurt another living person, no matter how badly they have hurt him. Peter tricks Loretta into seeing Cleveland (by saying that Lois needs an intervention), but instead of reconciling, the couple angrily agree to divorce.

Cleveland and Quagmire apologize to each other and, at Glenn’s insistence, take out their aggressions on each other in a boxing ring.

Plot summary
The Griffins invite the neighbors over for game night. While they are playing Trivial Pursuit, Lois gives Peter the Pre-School Edition questions to let him have his moment. After winning the game, Peter is an insufferable boor and starts talking down to everyone. Brian can’t take it and challenges Peter to apply for the MacArthur Genius Grant to prove he is in fact a genius. When the test results come back, however, it turns out that Peter is actually mentally retarded.

Peter is depressed about this until he accidentally runs over Tom Tucker. Tucker is mad until he sees that it’s Peter, the retarded fellow, who ran him over, and lets him go without calling the police. Peter realizes that being retarded means he can get away with all kinds of inappropriate behavior and he quickly takes advantage of his newfound power, in ways such as kicking doors open in the women’s restroom. One woman even offers to show him how everything works down there.

Unfortunately, while trying to steal a deep-fryer from a fast-food restaurant, Peter pours hot grease all over Lois and while she is in the hospital, Child Protective Services takes the children away (much to Stewie’s joy) because Peter is mentally unfit to be a parent. Cleveland takes custody of the Griffin children.

Brian tells Peter that he just has to show that he is a good parent. Peter thinks that the best way to do that is to show what a bad parent Cleveland is, so he brings seven prostitutes into Cleveland’s house. This doesn’t work as the social worker sees through the plot and Cleveland orders Peter and five of the prostitutes out. A heartfelt plead in trial the next day also fails and Peter barely avoids imprisonment (the judge forgets prisons exist).

Peter and Brian are at home lamenting the fact that the Griffins will never be a family again when Lois walks in. She is completely recovered and she get the kids back.

Plot summary
Peter, Joe and Quagmire drag Cleveland to a bar to get him to meet some women after Loretta left him. It doesn’t work so well, so when The Bachelorette comes to Quahog, Peter takes Cleveland to try and join. Cleveland gets nervous at the audition and in an effort to calm him, Peter removes Cleveland’s clothes and then his own. The producers see this and Brian apologizes for what happened with Peter and Cleveland. After meeting Brian, they recruit him to be a contestant. He signs up for the free martinis and food, but ends up falling in love with the reality starlet, Brooke.

Brian wins her heart and the final rose, but when the cameras are turned off, Brooke suddenly turns cold to Brian. Brian leaves dozens of messages on Brooke’s answering machine but she doesn’t answer, so Brian goes to see her in person. Brooke throws an answering machine at him and he finally gets the hint.

Meanwhile, Chris has a zit on his face which he names “Doug.” Lois worries about Chris, as Doug tells Chris to make some mischief. He goes to Swanson’s house and sets a bag on their porch on fire, and writes “That’s enough, John Mayer” in spraypaint on the wall of the Quahog Mini-Mart. Lois sees Chris sneaking back into his room and is going to punish him but Chris tells her that Doug said he doesn’t have to listen to her. This outrages Lois, deciding to go to Goldman’s Pharmacy the next day and get some astringent to get rid of Doug. However, the next day, as Peter and Lois head to Goldman’s, they realize there has been a break-in, and someone has destroyed Mort’s entire stock of acne medication.

That night, when Brooke comes over for dinner to meet Brian’s family, Doug tells Chris to lift up Brooke’s shirt. He does this, shocking and offending the family. Joe comes in, saying he has proof that it was Chris who broke into Goldman’s Pharmacy and stole his acne medication. Chris decides he no longer wants to listen to Doug after he made his mom cry, but Doug says he could make Chris punch himself, or even worse, shoot him in the brain. Right after the scene where Brooke tells Brian that they are breaking up, Chris is at the dermatology clinic, desperate to get rid of the zit. Doug tries to shoot him in the brain, but Chris manages to use the cortisone on the zit, finally taking it out.

Plot summary
When Peter goes to the pharmacy to buy condoms, he realizes he has forgotten his wallet. Mort Goldman, the pharmacist, offers to open a tab for him; Peter quickly begins spending unnecessarily. (He buys eight cases of syrup of ipecac so he can hold a vomiting contest with Brian, Chris and Stewie; however, it was a complete failure, although Chris technically wins). Soon Mort calls in Peter’s debt of $34,000. In desperation, Peter seizes upon a picture of Mort’s son Neil, who is infatuated with Meg. Peter offers to sell Meg to the Goldmans to settle the bill, offering a contract; Mort agrees, but everyone is shocked to discover that Neil has started dating another girl. Meg becomes unexpectedly jealous and hunts desperately for a boyfriend to make Neil jealous; she ends up settling for Jake Tucker, who only wants her to buy him things. She finally tells Neil that she wants to be his girlfriend and signs the original contract to prove her sincerity; the Goldmans quickly put her to work as a slave plowing a field in their front yard. Brian finds a clause in the contract stating that it is null and void if Neil cheats on Meg, so Peter convinces Lois to dress as Mystique and seduce him at a fake X-Men convention. Neil tells Meg that he only wants her to be with him if she wants to be with him, tears up the contract, and quickly reconciles with his previous girlfriend. Meg’s relief quickly gives way to renewed jealousy.

Meanwhile, after Meg had complained that she was tired of babysitting Stewie while their parents went out, Lois interviews candidates for a new babysitter, including a couple of Portuguese fishermen (Santos and Pasqual, the two men Peter hired to help him fish), and a Gloop (from The Herculoids). Stewie instantly falls in love with Liddane, an attractive young applicant. Liddane already has a boyfriend, however, and in a jealous rage, Stewie clubs him with a tire iron and locks him in the trunk of Brian’s car. When Liddane rejects Stewie’s advances, he drugs her and tells Lois that she invited friends over and that they were “smoking merry-jee-wanna and hero-ween! And they were all taking eczema and touching each other!” Lois fires Liddane, who departs tearfully after giving Stewie a mixtape. Stewie regrets his actions and pursues her, but she has disappeared. Weeks later, Stewie realizes that he forgot to release her boyfriend.

Plot summary
During a grocery shopping trip, Lois is caught short on cash. She pretends to return a ham to the meat department but instead hides it in her purse. She enjoys the rush from stealing so much that she indulges in a massive shoplifting spree culminating in the theft of a Matisse painting. Brian shows Lois the evil of her ways and she repents, but Joe Swanson arrests her before she is able to return the merchandise. Lois is sentenced to three years in prison, which she is resigned to serve. The Griffin household quickly plunges into filth and chaos in her absence, and during a visit Peter decides to smuggle her out of jail by stuffing her into his mouth. They hop into a laundry van and end up in “Asiantown” where they rent a shabby apartment and start new lives, such as Chris working as a rickshawdriver and Peter an unsuccessful Sumo wrestler. Joe tracks them down and pursues them in a rickshaw chase until the Griffins flee into the sewers; then he commandeers a police helicopter and follows them further. Lois decides to surrender and face justice, then saves Joe’s life when he slips and is nearly swept off a nearby ledge. In gratitude, he somehow manages to get Lois’ sentence remanded, and life returns to normal for the Griffins.

Plot summary
During a visit with her parents, Lois recalls her teenage aspirations to be a model. In defiance of her father’s wishes, she begins modeling and becomes very successful. Soon, however, she takes diet pills that her agent Karin Perrotta gives her, and stays out all night, and Peter becomes very jealous of the lust she inspires in other men. Desperate to get her out of the fashion world, Peter collaborates with Carter (Lois’ father) to get her back on track. They kidnap her at a Vogue party and bring her back to the Griffins’, where Carter demands that Lois quit her modeling career. Seeing his wife’s great desire for modeling, Peter soon acquiesces to Lois’ career, insisting to Carter that it is her right. Realizing that she indeed has the full freedom to fulfill her wishes, she quits the career anyway, and Peter and Lois have sex on Carter’s back. Meanwhile, Stewie starts a pyramid scheme business (“Cash$cam”). Brian learns he has worms and, unable to afford the medication but too embarrassed to ask Peter for money, reluctantly agrees to work for Stewie.

Plot summary
Lois asks Peter to go the PTA meeting, then Peter asks Brian to go. Brian reluctantly goes, and falls in love with one of Meg’s teachers, Shauna Parks. They go out on a date, and Brian suggests changing the name of James Woods Regional High School. Shauna, who is black, likes Brian’s idea of honoring Martin Luther King Jr., and the board holds a meeting to consider the name change. Peter gets James Woods to come to the meeting, who says it’s OK to change the name of the school. Impressed by Woods’ humility, the board decides not to change the school’s name. Brian is furious with Peter’s involvement with his and Shauna’s idea, although Peter thought that Dr. King was “that guy from Space: 1999,” Martin Landau.

Peter and James Woods become very good friends, while Brian is late for his date with Shauna. She is upset that he still talks to Peter and makes Brian choose between her and Peter, and they eventually call off their relationship, as Brian feels that his friendship is more important. He and Peter patch their differences at the Drunken Clam. Returning home, they find James Woods is still there. They get rid of him by trapping him in a box, with Reese’s Pieces as bait (à la E.T.). Woods is then sent to be studied by “top men,” when he is really being stored away in a Government Warehouse with similar other crates (á la Raiders of the Lost Ark).

Plot summary
Peter Griffin goes in search of fish at Pelican’s Reef at the suggestion of salty Seamus, with Glen Quagmire, Joe Swanson, and Cleveland Brown tagging along for the free beer. They find the fish, only to find themselves adrift at sea after a hurricane. They would have been killed if not for the raft they were able to build out of Quagmire’s sex dolls. Unfortunately, they had no food, so Peter ate the legs of Joe, a paraplegic, from the knees on down.

After being presumed lost at sea, a memorial service is held for the sailors. Brian marries Lois to support the family, working as a salesman at a Hummer dealership. However, he and Lois sleep in separate beds, much to Brian’s frustration.

Several months later, the four men are rescued from the island by a passing cruise ship, while they are attempting to pass the time with group homosexual intercourse.

Joe gets a new set of legs from a death row inmate who got the electric chair. Unfortunately for Joe, he was also a paraplegic, a reference to the show’s uncanny ability to return to the status quo, regardless of events.

Peter finally returns home and meets his family. When Peter is about to kiss Lois, she admits that she has married Brian. After Lois tells him why she is with Brian, Peter leaves and gets a room in a hotel in Downtown Quahog. Brian wants to talk to her about the situation she is in (in order to get into her pants). In an attempt to win Lois back, Peter goes to the house, where Lois finds him naked and lying on the couch. His plan succeeds and they have sex on the tipped over chair, where Stewie finds them and videotapes them having sex. The next night, Lois runs out of the house with a saddle. Stewie shows the tape to Brian and Brian goes to the hotel that Peter is staying at and sees a silhouette of Peter and Lois having sex. When Brian gets to Peter’s room, Lois tells Peter that she made a commitment to Brian and must stay with him. When Lois gets home, Brian dumps Lois and tells her to go back to Peter. The next day, she admits that she was a day away from having sex with him. Brian, angry at this revelation, tells the family he’ll be in the basement. Upon being asked what he’s going to do, his response is “WHAT DO YOU THINK?!”
