A website designed and programmed in early 2003, it was using Mamba (a CMS) as back end and some interesting DIV-layer constructions.
The h4x3d.com logo, as in the current form emerged here for the first time ever (see full screenshot, top left). The boy shown on the website is a vector image of me. (drawn by me using photoshop). This website was succeeded by a follow-up design of j-e-z.de.

The town (yeah, not really a city) I live in is some sort of mediaeval conservative suburban area. The comprehensive secondary school I go to was established in 1659; it does not really suck, but it is a public school and you cannot really choose what you want to learn; -but that is a national problem actually.
After having finished with school, I plan to study International Business and Management Studies; the only little obstacle is that 60% of the courses are held in english and I am not a native english-speaker. I do love english, I find it easier to express myself in english than in german, I dream in english, think in english (which sometimes is really a problem in school, because I tend to use Anglicisms quite often. In my free time I used to play basketball in a club, but after six years and plenty of training, at sometimes twice the week plus everyday on the freecourt I found myself suffering from cartilage problems in my right angle. I did really enjoy all those games, but at some point I just stepped down and did something else; shifted priorities and put more time into working with computers.
In the meantime while not playing I self-tought myself a diversity of programming languages and administration skills (dos in the beginning, than win3.11, 95, 95se,98, me, 2000, xp, 2003server and nt).
Nowadays I spend alot of time with my gorgeous girlfriend lin, whether just chilling, talking, learning, watching tv, reading stuff on the net, listening to music or driving around and visiting friends… well we have a great time!
Sometimes I find myself sitting infront of my pc, coding, doing grafics, layouts, concepts or just browsing the net. On occasion I work for britneyzone.com, the other zones (christinazone.com, parishiltonzone.com, etc..) and komm-passion.de.
I code snippets, whole scripts or modify old scripts and fiddle around with them until I found a solution that fits my needs.
In the past (Read more about my past in the category “ABOVE AND BEYOND > PAST” I used to play TFC, that is an online based capture the flag modification (the first one!) based on the old HALF-LIFE engine. This is not a glorification, but at times I played in Europe?s top clans, NET-FREAKS.de and gboc.de germanys best online clan, just to name a few. Aliases include “jez” and “FORCE”. But hence TFC and HL are about 6 years old by now it lost its popularity and mainy clans folded. Today there are only a few left and antique players like me are getting rare.

This post was written in reply to keasone.de kind of survey of website (and web2.0 elements) usage | Initially, the questions were asked in German, but due to the international audience over here, I am going to translate them to English.
English: Do you use Social Bookmarking/Networking pages such as Digg, Yigg, Mister Wong or Del.Icio.Us? If so, which?
German: Nutzt Du Social Bookmarking/Networking Seiten wie Digg, Yigg, Mister Wong oder Del.Icio.Us? Wenn ja, welche?
On my website h4x3d.com I am using digg, technorati, del.icio.us (hate to spell that!), sphere.com, blogmarks.net, ma.gnolia.com and furl to offer my users all the social bookmarking tools that are currently popular. Mr. Wong is not yet available in English, so a strict no-go for me. Personally I only use digg and del.icio.us.
English: Do you watch videos on video portals such as YouTube, Sevenload or DailyMotion? If so, what kind of Videos?

I do not waste time on YouTube, because for some reason it is extremely slow whenever I am trying to find something. DailyMotion is great, but Videos you watched one day are gone the other. I used to collect Simpsons videos on the internet, but with one swift move, DailyMotion deleted them all. From time to time I watch the remaining FamilyGuy episodes on bolt.com. Actually that’s only because I am lazy, since I do own the original FG DVDs.
English: Do you know/use Flickr?
German: Kennst bzw. nutzt Du Flickr?
Who does not know flickr? I am using flickr to share all my pictures from university, trance events or whatever I capture using my crappy cellphone camera. When I need to post newly accquired vinyl covers, I use the flickr API which comes built in with some cool plugin in WordPress. Really makes posting fun.
English: What do you think of services such as Twitter or Frazr?

I have been using Twitter only for testing their API (it’s actually only a RSS Feed…) and I am not using it daily. I think twitter is great waste of time and can be addictive for some people. Facebook offers similar twitter abilities. I don’t know Frazr. Cool name though! Oh btw. Alex, I deleted you from my friends list (it’s empty now), not as I don’t like you :p but as you were filling up my LifeStream (stupid RSS-Feed)!
English: How many RSS-Feeds are you subscribed to?

Between 4 and 5, it really depends on the quality of content. I am subscribed to LifeHacker’s RSS-Feed and love it. However, sometimes it can become quite spammy, as they post 9–10 times a day. RSS-Feeds are a good way of catching up with other websites’ development, but again: also a great waste of time. I have subscribed to my own RSS-Feed in order to check if there are errors from time to time. I am using Feedburner to direct my posts to Feeds.
