On March 19th, 2005 the Britneyzone.com forums (www.britneyzone.com/phpbb2) got hacked by some algerian guys. They used an exploit in the (insecure) phpbb2 engine to delete the whole database table phpbb2. “Lesson learnt” said the britneyzone owner gareth while updating the forums to the latest phpbb2 release. It is essential to keep php applications up to date.
