Motorola v3i help
This is for all the folks out there who have problems getting the phone tools to run, or who have no degree in rocket science and fail to follow the simple instructions on the other site. Look at the screenshots below and realize that THIS is the real thing, it does work.
how to extract the files?
enter www.h4x3d.com (when asked)
you will get those two files
What to do now? You have two options:
a) mount the files using daemon tools (link is available if you google for it!)
b) burn the files to a cd using nero or similar files
how to mount the files using daemon tools?
(right click the tray icon and select the options as shown on the image above)
select the cue file
(u need to select this file, after that you will get a prompt saying you inserted the cd and usually setup.exe will pop-up)

In nero, play around till you get the dialog where you can select what you want to burn (with the icons on the left side)
(select “open” on the right side, u need to select the cue file to burn)
selecting the cue file
(select this cue file)
press burn
(enter a cd and burn the files ;)

If you receive any errors or don’t get the screenshots similar to what is shown above, then you are very likely to have downloaded either the wrong files, or that they got corrupted while downloading. This may happen if you have a bad wireless network, or are at university or you are using dialup. Again I can only underline, that things do work. The files linked on this page are offered free of charge. And no support or whatever is given, as I am student and busy myself. Keep the internet and its content FREE! Don’t pay for something that you can get for free. I do own the original CD (twice!) as I got the motorola v3i mobilephone TWICE!

Thanks for the Motorola Phone Tools download, I had searched everywhere for it but no luck until I stumbled across your site. just to let others know that it DOES work. I now have a fully working Tools program on my PC. Just a shame that it doesn’t help you to install programs to the phone.
can i extract it and start installing without burning it to cd? i don’t have cd burner on this old notebook…:(

I am having the same problem as Ghostwolf… not sure if the password was changed, but I tried every variation of it and the files would not open

your download might have gotten corrupted if you downloaded with crazy speed or have a crappy mirror/connection,
I can only advise to re-download the files from another mirror and see if it works.
Thanks a million. It worked. I was trying to use Sonic but it seems that it doesn’t recognize CUE or BIN files so I went ahead and just downloaded Nero, and it was a breeze from there.

¿Where can I get (FOR FREE…) Motorola PhoneTools Codecs V2 to convert my videos & upload to RAZR V3? Phonr tools is working EXCELLENT, but my PC lacks these codecs

Hello Jez, thanks for your patience. Yes, I googled like crayze. I found a Motorola Media Studio 3.0 DEMO, that works reasonably well. No DVD on my PC, so that I have not tryed.
Some videos are uploaded to my RAZR V3, some say “this video can’t be converted, it has unsupported codecs (compression)” but most are a “GO”.

hope it helps others in disstress…somrone said that ALL these TROUBLES are with windows OS, not so with apple. So microsoft has that problem: with apple, Moto is a dream! (or so the legend goes on…)
The V3 is great, has many options, global signal…could be N° ONE if the software was free like other products that we buy… (not so free, WE BUY them!) The design follows Mac very closely, even with the back view LCD. It opens and has a keyboard similar in concept to most laps, (VERY miniturized) and I hope Motorola catches on!!!

when i try to hook up my phone with these tools it says my phone is to oldits a razor but not sure which its like 2-3years old
@terrence: hello mate, probably your phone is too old? my razr is from 2005 and works just fine, so sorry about that :(
afteri downloaded and it said there was some error incompatible version of the rpc stub so the setup was terminated..i have windows 98 so i dont know if thats why it wont work..i tried to downloaded from different websites at least 10 and i really was hoping for this download to be the last..so if you could help me out please id appreciate it..
oh yea i know its pretty old i had my windows xp pc stolen from my apartment during a apartment building fire so someone donated this ugly computer but im not complaining its only for a while. Oh about the motorola phone tools i dont give a fuck about it because i already downloaded to this old computer and now i am using it fine.
think it wont work on windows 98.
Since it is 2009 already, you might want to upgrade your 11 year old system?
no offense there, but sometimes it just makes sense to make this step.
